Resurrecting the Dead: The Subaru Lives Again

Subaru Outback new parts 02

After five months of tinkering, bending metal, and hammering, the Subaru Outback is running again. Oh there are a host of problems needing fixing yet, including the non functioning fog lights and hood catch, but it is being driven again.

At the moment, we are waiting for a body specialist to have an opening in his schedule so it will be early July before it gets painted and the latch fixed. Maybe the headlights will get properly aligned then too.

In the meantime, it is being run hard despite needing a minor oil leak fixed. The most amazing thing is that the original battery from 2004 still works. She still handles well in the hills and curves, so the deer hit did not kill the frame or alignment. Subaru’s really are the best cars out there and I want libertarians and conservatives to know it is okay to drive them despite the leftist associations. Once you do, you will always want to own a Subaru.
